Dr. Emma Borkowski hopes to identify animals capable of mounting a superior immune response to gastrointestinal nematodes (GIN) by screening for GIN antibodies in goat saliva. If successful, this approach could improve herd health and grazing potential through selection of animals carrying immunological GIN resistance.
