As we revise and update the Canadian Organic Standards, we want to make sure the standards reflect the needs and practices of Canadian organic producers. If you are an organic or ecological producer (certified or not), we invite you to complete our surveys. Please feel free to forward to other people who might be interested.

The Ruminant & Pig survey focuses on physical alterations (e.g., castration, tail docking, etc.) in dairy cattle, beef cattle, sheep, goats and pigs. Please open that survey here: https://forms.gle/yuDMvTZP2LQZDZNk8

The Poultry survey covers various practices (e.g., beak trimming, choice of breeds, perch access, density) for laying hens, pullets, meat chickens, turkeys and waterfowl. Please open this survey here: https://forms.gle/TuR7UbqCEQnr1whv9

Please take care to finish the survey and click ‘submit’ at the end.

We encourage people to complete the survey as soon as possible. We will be sending the results to the task forces and working groups involved in the standards review beginning March 10th. We will, however, continue to collect and analyze data until we close the surveys in early April.
