Being a farmer isn’t an easy job. It takes heart and hard work. We, at AFSC, want to thank Alberta’s farmers for their drive, dedication and determination while giving them a much-needed break during harvest.
We teamed up with Big Country 93.1 FM, River Country 94.9 FM, River Country 102.1 FM in the north, 840 CFCW in central Alberta, and New Country 105.7 in Brooks and area to bring meals in the field to producers this harvest season.
North
AFSC Farmer Feed – North
AFSC is proud to bring the AFSC Farmer Feed: Meals in the Field to northern Alberta producers/farmers. An entire team, including representatives from AFSC and our partners, will show up at the lucky winner’s farm for a relaxing harvest break.
And don’t worry – we’re bringing the food and entertainment with us.
The details
Each Thursday during September, one lucky farm operation will be visited by the AFSC Farmer Feed crew.
- Hines Creek Catering will serve up a full meal, hog deal for a crowd of 40 people.
- Jadee Bixbey will provide the entertainment.
- AFSC will provide the prizes.

Central
Meals in the Field – Central Alberta
AFSC is proud to work with 840 CFCW to bring Meals in the Field to central Alberta producers. An entire team, including 840 CFCW, AFSC, Meridian Manufacturing, Rig Hand Distillery and Stawnichy’s Mundare Sausage, will show up at the lucky winner’s farm for a relaxing harvest break.
And don’t worry – we’re bringing the food and entertainment with us.
The details
Each Thursday during September, one lucky farm operation will be visited by the Meal in the Field – Central Alberta team.
- Stawnichy’s Mundare Sausage will serve lunch for 20 people.
- Morning Man Dan Davidson will provide the entertainment September 4, 8 and 24, with Tracy Millar providing September 11 entertainment.
- Meridian Manufacturing and Rig Hand Distillery…and AFSC will provide the prizes.

Each Thursday during September, one lucky farm operation will be visited by the Meal in the Field – Brooks and area crew.
- Stick a Fork in it BBQ will serve a brisket lunch for 20 people.
- Travis Dolter will provide the entertainment September 18 and 25. The entertainer for September 4 and 11 will be announced shortly.
- Grounded Electric, Davis GMC Brooks, Centennial Garage … and AFSC will provide the prizes.
