Dr. Martine Dorais is helping to support year-round organic food production in our import-reliant Canadian climate. She and her team are looking at strategies to improve nutrient use efficiency, soil health and productivity in greenhouses, while minimizing GHG emissions. It all starts with thinking about the greenhouse environment as an agroecosystem.
Join Dr. Dorais and her team as they share their motivations and methods for researching plant-based fertilizers, biochar and intercropping while touring greenhouses at Laval University and research partner, L’Abri Végétal.
