Farm Clubs
Cultivating Collaborative Communities
Organic Alberta, in partnership with Canadian Organic Growers and generously funded by the Calgary Foundation, is proud to present Farm Clubs.
Farm Clubs are a series of workshops designed for farmer to farmer learning. The farmer-led approach leverages the knowledge of farmers, who take science-based practices and integrate them on-farm, balancing complex factors such as markets, weather, and regional challenges. These workshops, featuring a blend of in-person, virtual, and on-farm sessions, will focus on the topics farmers want to discuss, from agronomy to marketing to everyday issues on the farm.
Farmers from all regions are welcome, but we will be focusing on the following areas: Wheatland County, Rocky View County, Municipal District of Bighorn, Foothills County, Kainai Nation, Piikani Nation, and Tsuut’ina Nation.
Whether you are an experienced organic farmer, new organic farmer, regenerative farmer, or just curious about regenerative practices, this will be a great place to meet other farmers and learn what they are doing on their farms.

Farm Clubs Session Two: Advantages of Polycultures
Join us for our second Farm Clubs session on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm MST. This meeting will be virtual and we look forward to seeing all your faces! Come meet fellow organic and/or regenerative farmers and let’s discuss more about polycultures in Southern Alberta and how to benefit from them even during drought years.
Key Highlights:
- Guest Speaker (TBA!): Gain insights from an expert in polycultures, and discuss how you could integrate them onto your Southern Alberta organic or regenerative farm.
- Continuing the Conversation: Network with other Southern Alberta farmers and pick up conversations where you left off at Session #1. Share stories, insights, and expertise about your experience with polycultures and more.
