SaskOrganics Fall & Winter Farm Club Meeting-South #1 is coming up at the Swift Current Research and Development Centre on November 26 from 1:00 – 4:00pm! Their Organic Research Program will be presenting an update on several ongoing and new projects on organic, low-input and regenerative practices.
Topics will include: Cover Cropping and their impact on the following cash crop, Living Mulch, Intercropping, Biocontrol of legume and wheat diseases, Biological amendments, Growth of Durum vs. Common Wheat cultivars, and Participatory Plant Breeding.
After the research program update, the remainder of the meeting will be designated to producer sharing and networking. Any producer interested in organic and low-input agriculture is welcome!
Refreshments will be provided. Registration is free but required.
