The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) recently announced that they will be incorporating organic import requirements into the Automated Import Reference System (AIRS). The CFIA has provided a brief summary of this development on their website.

This will help to assure that organic integrity is maintained for products entering our borders. We look forward to seeing the full implementation of this system for all organic imports, and we will continue to track the progress of this initiative moving forward.
