Conditions have been excellent for the development of many crop diseases, including late blight. Rob Spencer, commercial horticulture specialist with Alberta Agriculture, says there have been a couple of confirmed cases of the disease, which means growers of potatoes and tomatoes need to be extra vigilant checking their crops.
