Catherine Caldwell won first place in the Specialty Section, of the 2010 World Porridge Championships held at Carrbridge, Scotland on October 10, 2010.
Catherine, a freelance cookery and food writer from Calgary, won the prestigious award with her Canadian Cranberry Apple Crunch recipe using Highwood Crossing Organic Steel Cut Oats.
