Regional Opportunities for Canadian Organic Farmers - Survey

The national Organic Value Chain Round Table is a government-funded sectoral consultation mechansm established in 2006 to explore ways to identify and overcome barriers to developing the Canadian organic sector. The round table draws its members from a wide cross section of the Canadian organic sector including producers, processors, distributors, retailers and exporters. The priorities of the round trable are: market development, regulations, research and increasing Canadian capacity.

The Increasing Capacity Working Group is in the process of identifying key strategies to promote the development of the organic sector in Canada. These activities focus on efforts to support farmers and farming, season extension, distribution, warehousing, processing, etc. The goal of this survey is to identify key opportunities for increasing organic capacity in each region of the country.

You are receiving this survey because you have been active, either regionally or nationally in organic sector development and are familiar with potential opportunities in your region. The results of this survey will be used to inform our strategic planning.

Please complete the survey as soon as you can find the time. We value your input and thank you for taking the time to complete the survey.
