Are you a landowner, municipality or manager that has water related erosion issues? The Soil Erosion Series Field Day will showcase a range of erosion control and mitigation techniques completed on eroded and incised streambanks in the County of Grande Prairie. This work will be completed under the guidance of Craig Sponholtz of Watershed Artisans, Inc. – a restoration contractor that works to heal waterways through natural processes such as induced meandering, which will be discussed. Structures on-site include a zuni bowl, one rock dam, baffles and boulder run-downs, Please bring appropriate outdoor clothing and clean, mud-free footware.

Lunch will be provided free of charge and a site tour will follow.
