The southwest corner of our campus is home to the Northlands Urban Farm, a 31,200 square-foot farm dedicated to producing local and sustainable food. Operated by Lactuca Corp., the farm offers a unique opportunity for locals and tourists coming to Edmonton to experience the realities of a commercial farm right here in the heart of the city .

Producing a broad array of hard-to-come-by varietals—from lettuce, herbs and garlic to heirloom tomatoes and carrots—the produce Lactuca grows is sold at the 124 Grand Market, French Quarter Grand Market, and Southwest Edmonton Farmers’ Market, and used in the kitchens of several local restaurants and at Northlands. Also home to bee hives and chickens, the Northlands Urban Farm offers a unique opportunity to experience where your food comes from.

Come for a FREE tour of this hidden gem, and learn about the plants and the bees! Space is limited, so pre-registration is required. Please register in advance on-line here:  Public Tours Registration
