Thursday January 12th, 2017 | Lacombe, Alberta  Lacombe Memorial Centre, 5214 50 Ave.
In partnership with the Prairie Organic Grain Initiative, the University of Manitoba is offering Part Two of the Organic Agronomy Training Program. Agronomists and others who are interested in providing agronomic advice to organic and ecological farmers will be equipped with data-gathering and decision support tools, and be trained in the art and science of organic grain production. The tools provided will enable participants to take a systematic and comprehensive approach when working with farmer clients using diagnostics, problem identification, and farm system co-design (see tentative agenda below).

The program includes in-person meetings and ongoing support after the meetings. This support involves direct access to instructors and to other participants through social media, email updates, and phone calls.

New participants are welcome to the Winter 2017 sessions.

* Please note that a third session has been added to the program for Fall 2017, dates and locations in each province TBA. The third session will be a continuation of the program, providing further training in organic agronomy.

CEU credits pending.
